The eras this page's records fall in are drawn solid; the others are hollow.

How we know: Each bar runs the years printed on that era's panel, and which eras a page falls in is the archive's grouping of its records, not the length of anyone's career.

Titles on the record (1)

Each read off a results document the archive holds: a result sheet, or, for a season's title, the body's own champions grid or season table, with the name as that document prints it.

Results

2010 · Confirmed

The 2010 sheet records the finish by time of day, 10.07.00 against a start at 09.00.00, and lists the second finisher at 10.09.40. The sheet prints no year; 2010 comes from its file name and from the PDF's date of 18 July 2010.

2008 · Confirmed

The official overall results of the 2008 race list Kim Bushong, number 98, in Vet/Master Open on a Kawasaki, as a non-finisher. The sheet prints no event title; the race and year come from the address it was published at, and its only printed date is the revision mark 8/7/08.

2009 · Likely

The 2009 results table on the race's web page lists Kim Bushong, number 98, in Vet Master Open in 64 minutes 52 seconds, the fourth row of a table that prints no positions, and the report of the race on the same page says Bushong took the Vet Master Championship and fourth place overall on a Kawasaki Ultra 250X.

2006 and 2007 · Likely

The results page on the same site lists Kim Bushong, number 777, first in Pro/am Open Class 2 at the 2006 race, run on 9 July 2006 as the APBA offshore national championship, and eighth overall in the 2007 race in 56 minutes 51 seconds on an Ultra 250, in Vet/Master Open.

2009 · Likely

A team endurance sheet of 2009 that names no event lists Kim Bushong, boat 33, with a co-rider first in Vet/Masters Open on a Kawasaki, 29 laps. Its date, two days after the Mark Hahn Memorial 300 that the race's own announcement sets for 28 February 2009, points to that race, but the sheet itself never says so.

2009 · Likely

The site's Legacy Racers page of 2012 lists Kim Bushong in the Vet Master Class of its PWCOFFSHORE.COM Legacy Racing team, and its profile credits a 2009 Triple Crown of Offshore overall win in the vet master class. The profile is the site's own words.

What the archive has not read (2)

  • The 2007 class breakdown on the results page prints the position for Vet/Master Open on the line above the name, so a class win in 2007 is read from a misaligned line and is not stated here (checked 2026-10-05).
  • No result sheet for the Triple Crown of Offshore series of 2009, or for any race of 2011 or later naming Kim Bushong, is held (searched the archive's mirror and research cache, 2026-10-05).

Documents cited on this page

  • 2010 LB2CAT results (web.archive.org): Long Beach to Catalina and Back 2010, results (PDF on pwcoffshore.com, Wayback capture), pwcoffshore.com, 2010-07-18; editorial, high. The 2010 race's results, PDF made 18 July 2010, extracted one cell to a line. High as the results document itself.
  • 2008 LB2CAT official overall (web.archive.org): Long Beach to Catalina and Back 2008, official overall results (spreadsheet on pwcoffshore.com, Wayback capture), pwcoffshore.com, 2008-08-07; editorial, high. The race's official overall results, revision of 7 August 2008, with position, number, make, time, class and sponsors per rider, read as spreadsheet rows. High because it is the results document itself; the sheet prints no sanctioning body, and the event and year come from its file name.
  • LB2CAT race page 2010 (web.archive.org): LB2CAT race page on pwcoffshore.com, captured June 2010, pwcoffshore.com; editorial, medium. A winners list, the 2009 results as a table with no position numbers, and a report of the 2009 race calling it an APBA offshore national championship run by RPM Racing Enterprises. Medium as a web page restating results rather than the results document.
  • Offshore results page 2008 (web.archive.org): Race results page on pwcoffshore.com, captured January 2008, pwcoffshore.com; editorial, medium. Winners lists for the Long Beach to Catalina and Mark Hahn races, the 2007 and 2006 Long Beach to Catalina results and the 2007 Sprint Nationals at Long Beach. Medium as a page restating results; a winners list on it is not a result sheet.
  • 2009 endurance sheet (event unnamed) (web.archive.org): Team endurance results, 2009 (PDF on pwcoffshore.com; the sheet names no event), pwcoffshore.com, 2009-03-02; editorial, medium. A team endurance result sheet by class, laps, boat, riders and make, PDF made 2 March 2009. It never names its event; the dates, lap count and class winners point to the Mark Hahn Memorial 300 of 28 February 2009, which is an inference, so a page using it says so.
  • Mark Hahn 300 announcement 2008 (web.archive.org): Fifth Annual Mark Hahn Memorial Havasu 300, announcement of 20 March 2008 (pwcoffshore.com, Wayback capture), pwcoffshore.com, 2008-03-20; editorial, high. The race's own announcement, headed as issued from Mike Follmer of Team Yamaha, setting the fifth running for 28 February 2009 at Lake Havasu and naming its co-promoters. High for what the event said of itself and who it named; one sentence can be read two ways about who held the title Executive Producer, so no page uses that title (checked 2026-10-06).
  • Offshore legacy racers 2012 (web.archive.org): Legacy Racers page on pwcoffshore.com, captured February 2012, pwcoffshore.com; editorial, medium. The site's list of long-standing offshore racers with notes on each, as of February 2012. Medium as the site's own tribute; two email addresses removed from the held copy.

Changes to this page

  • 2026-10-09: Removed two sentences that rested on the race's winners list alone, one naming Kim Bushong for 2010 and one giving 2008 to the rider printed first on the 2008 sheet. Both results stand on their own sheets.
