Key Figures

People · Who did what, on the record

Key Figures

The people who raced, tuned, built, invented and organised the sport, each named for a public role a document records. 93 people are on the record so far, with 211 titles read off results documents the archive holds (each a result sheet, or, for a season's title, the sanctioning body's own champions grid or season table) and 760 sourced facts in all.

Named for a public role a document records, and nothing more. If it is you, ask us to correct your page or take it down. The full note is at the foot of the page.

The record, year by year

Each bar counts the people a held document shows at work that year: racing, filing a patent, running a shop or an event. Pick a year to see who, and what. A gap means no document has been read for that year, not that nobody raced.

What is not here

No roll of honour. The International Jet Sports Boating Association keeps its own list of world champions, and the archive cites a title on a person's page only when it holds that year's result sheet. No company pages: the shops and makers are written up in the history chapters on the aftermarket, and a page says so when the BaddJet shop sells that brand. No interviews yet: they come later, each with the person's own consent.
