The eras this page's records fall in are drawn solid; the others are hollow.
How we know: Each bar runs the years printed on that era's panel, and which eras a page falls in is the archive's grouping of its records, not the length of anyone's career.
Titles on the record (12)
Each read off a results document the archive holds: a result sheet, or, for a season's title, the body's own champions grid or season table, with the name as that document prints it.

The federation's season lists print the name Gerencsér Csaba with no other identifier. Its own table of champions by title count, in section 12 of the book, prints the name with 12 titles, which agrees with the 12 first places counted from the season lists in section 11 (recounted on 2026-10-07), and its medal table for Runabout, Formula 1 and Formula 2 gives 12 first, 4 second and 3 third places, which agree with the same lists. Reading every row as one rider rests on the name and that agreement, and is the archive's inference.

The same lists print him second in RUNABOUT MODIFIED in 1994, in RUNABOUT 1200 SUPERSTOCK in 1999, in RUNABOUT 785 in 2001 and in RUNABOUT 1200 in 2002, and third in RUNABOUT 1200 MODIFIED in 1998 and in RUNABOUT 1200 in 2000 and 2001. Reading these rows as one rider rests on the inference stated in the first claim.

2005 · Confirmed
On the federation's official results list of the fifth round of the 2005 national championship, at Ónodi-tó on 20 and 21 August 2005, he is first in FORMULA 2 and tenth in FORMULA 1, under the sheet's team column SD, start nr. column H1y and type column SD. The federation's standings sheets over five rounds place him first in FORMULA 2 on 240 points and in RUNABOUT 800 on 699, sixth in FORMULA 1 on 144 and sixth in RUNABOUT 1200 on 337. Those sheets print no year; 2005 rests on their fifth-round column matching this newsletter's order of finish. The newsletter's list of the year's champions prints his name with 2X beside FORMULA 2 and RUNABOUT 800.

1996 · Likely
The federation's forewords of 2005 and 2006 and its table of results at European and world events give him second place at the 1996 European Championship and third place at the 1996 UIM World Championship, both in Runabout 1200 Modified. The forewords call the European event the IJSBA European Championship and the table calls it the EJSBA European Championship.

The same forewords and table give him second place at the 1999 UIM America Championship in Runabout Pro 1200, fourth place at the 2003 UIM World Championship in Runabout 1200 Superstock, and first place in FORMULA 1 of the 2003 European F1, F2, F3 series, in which the table also lists him second in 2002 and third in 2000. The forewords call the 2003 result a championship title.

Business
2005 and 2006 · Likely
The member lists of the 2005 and 2006 books print him as the representative of two of the federation's member bodies, the Sea Doo Racing Team Sportegyesület, with the title klub elnök (club president), and Jet Power Hungary KFT, with the title ügyvezető (managing director). Reading the representative as the rider above rests on the shared name and the shared federation, and is the archive's inference from the name.

Organising the sport
2005 and 2006 · Likely
The federation's 2005 and 2006 books print Gerencsér Csaba as one of its alelnök (vice-presidents) in the list of its officers, and their forewords are signed with that name and title beside a second alelnök. Reading the officer as the rider of the results above rests on the shared name and the shared federation, and is the archive's inference from the name.

The IJSBA's own directory of affiliated bodies, printed in its rule books, lists the Hungarian federation (Magyar Jet Ski Szovetseg, MJSZ in the 2002 book and MJSJ in the 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2014 books) with the attention line Csaba Gerencser in each of those five books. The tie to the person above rests on the name and the federation and is the archive's inference. The entries are the same from book to book and may have been carried forward, so they are not used to date his activity.

2019 · Likely
The UIM's yearbook published in May 2019 lists the Hungarian Jet Sports Federation, with the web address www.jet-ski.hu, among its national authorities, and prints Csaba Gerencser as one of its two Vice Presidents. Reading him as the Gerencsér Csaba who was the federation's alelnök in its 2005 and 2006 books rests on the name, the country and the federation, and is the archive's inference.

2026 · Likely
The UIM's yearbook published in June 2026 lists the same federation, with the same web address, and prints Csaba Gerencsér as its President. The tie to the person above rests on the name, the country and the federation, and is the archive's inference.

Recognition
The federation's list of perpetual Hungarian champions (örökös magyar bajnok), in its 2005 and 2006 books, prints his name with two other names. Neither book says how the title is earned (searched the held Hungarian federation texts for the term, 2026-10-07).

What the archive has not read (3)
- The federation's 2005 edition heads its 2003 and 2004 Runabout lists 1100 and 1600 where the 2006 edition prints 800 and 1200 for the same riders in the same places, so the class names of the 2003 RUNABOUT 1200 title and the 2004 RUNABOUT 800 and RUNABOUT 1200 titles follow the 2006 edition only (checked 2026-10-07).
- The federation's season lists print the first ten places of each class and fewer in a small class, so no place below tenth is held for any season from 1992 to 2005 (read 2026-10-07).
- The Hungarian federation's own held books name his federation posts for 2005 and 2006 only, and the 2006 book is the latest federation book held (searched the archive's mirror, 2026-10-07); the UIM's yearbooks of May 2019 and June 2026 name his later posts (read 2026-10-09). No held result sheet places him in a race after 2005 (searched the archive's mirror and the research cache for his name, 2026-10-08). The 2013 Alpen Adria Hungary round sheet prints a Csaba Gerencser in Pro Am Runabout Stock; nothing held ties that entry to this record, so it is not used (checked 2026-10-07).

- Hungarian national book 2006 (web.archive.org): MJSZ 2006 rule book, part IV, the Hungarian national book (championship results 1992 to 2005 and European and world placings 1994 to 2005), Magyar Jet-Ski Szovetseg, 2006; sanctioning body, high. The federation's own book of national rules and results, in Hungarian, read from the extract held here. Section 11 prints the first ten places of each class, and fewer in a small class, in every season of the national championship from 1992 to 2005; section 12 its medal tables, a table of champions by title count, the list of perpetual Hungarian champions and the four riders honoured in 2002; section 13 the placings of its riders at European and world championships from 1994 to 2005; section 1 its officers and section 2 its member bodies with their representatives. High for the federation's own championship lists and tables, which are its own results. Section 13 reports events other bodies ran and no sheet of those events is held, so a claim that rests only on section 13 is marked likely. Names print family name first. The extract sets two class lists side by side and prints some Hungarian letters as substitute characters, so a name's class is read from its column, checked against the 2005 edition's tab-separated lists. The book also prints phone numbers, addresses and company registration numbers, none of which is copied.
- Hungarian national book 2005 (web.archive.org): MJSZ 2005 rule book, part IV, the Hungarian national book (championship results 1992 to 2004 and European and world placings 1994 to 2004), Magyar Jet-Ski Szovetseg, 2005; sanctioning body, high. The previous year's edition of the same book, captured as RTF on 1 March 2006 and read from the extract held here. Its section 11 covers the championship from 1992 to 2004, in tab-separated two-column lists that show which class each name sits under, which the 2006 edition's extract does not always do. It is the same body's book, so the two editions are not independent of each other. For the five riders read from both editions (checked 2026-10-07) every place in every list from 1992 to 2004 is the same in the same order; the one difference is that its 2003 and 2004 Runabout lists are headed 1100 and 1600 where the 2006 edition prints 800 and 1200. The same extract prints phone numbers and registration numbers, which are not copied.
- Hungarian newsletter 9 of 2005 (web.archive.org): Jet-Ski Sport Hirlevel No 9 / 2005, official results of the fifth round of the 2005 national championship (Land-Bau Jet-Ski Kupa, Onodi-to, 20 to 21 August 2005) and the year's champions, Magyar Jet-Ski Szovetseg, 2005-08-29; sanctioning body, high. The federation's newsletter dated 29 August 2005, whose first part is the round's official results list for Formula 1, 2 and 3, Ski, X2, Runabout 800 and 1200, free style and the novice classes, each row with licence number, club code, start number, make code, laps, penalties and points, followed by the year's champions and the results of the UIM European championship rounds in Switzerland. Read from the extract held here, which prints the Hungarian double acute letters as substitute characters. High as the federation's own results list for its own round; the UIM paragraphs report another body's event and are not relied on. It names its sponsor and its secretary, who are not used.
- Hungarian 2005 championship standings (web.archive.org): Osszesitett, the Hungarian national championship's 2005 standings with points after five rounds (Excel file on jet-ski.hu, Wayback capture of 23 December 2005), Magyar Jet-Ski Szovetseg, 2005; sanctioning body, high. The federation's own 2005 standings, read from the Excel file into text, one block per sheet. The per-class sheets (Formula 1 and 2, Formula 3, Runabout, Ski and X2, free style and novice, slalom) give each rider a licence number, club code and start number and points for each of five rounds, and their orders match the 2006 book's 2005 lists. The first sheet, headed with older class names, is a different table set whose season is not established, and nothing here relies on it. In the Formula 1 and 2 sheets one rider's licence number differs from the one the newsletter prints for him; no claim uses a licence number.
- Hungarian federation 2005 foreword (web.archive.org): MJSZ 2005 rule book, part I, foreword (the Hungarian affiliate's own account of its history and of the EJSBA), Magyar Jet-Ski Szovetseg, 2005; sanctioning body, medium. A national affiliate's foreword, in Hungarian, read from the copy held here. It dates the federation to 12 November 1992, says Hungarian racing ran from 1991 under UIM-derived rules, and says that in January 1993 Hungary and five other countries formed the IJSBA's European committee, the EJSBA; it also says the two world federations reached no agreement on rules or race organisation. Medium because it is one affiliate's own account, single-sourced, and its signatories are not copied.
- Hungarian federation 2006 foreword (web.archive.org): MJSZ 2006 rule book, part I, foreword (the Hungarian affiliate's own account of its history and results to 2005), Magyar Jet-Ski Szovetseg, 2006; sanctioning body, medium. The 2006 edition of the foreword whose 2005 edition is also held, and longer than that one. It repeats the 2005 text on the federation's founding and its riders' European and world results, and adds the federation's hosting of European rounds from 1996 to 2003, the 2004 election of its president to the UIM's aquabike board, and the 2005 world and European medals. It is signed with three names and titles. Medium because it is the federation's own account, single-sourced, and the same body as the 2005 foreword, so the two are not independent. The signatories' contact details are not in the text.
- 2002 rule book (web.archive.org): IJSBA 2002 Official Competition Rule Book, International Jet Sports Boating Association, 2002; sanctioning body, high. The complete 2002 book in 25 sections, the oldest full IJSBA rule book held here, served from a Norwegian club's document server and captured by the Wayback Machine. Four numbered technical parts (Stock, Limited, Superstock, Modified), three divisions, the 500 and 200 unit homologation figures, and the United States class list.
- 2010 rule book (web.archive.org): IJSBA 2010 Official Competition Rule Book, International Jet Sports Boating Association, 2010; sanctioning body, high. The complete 2010 book, kept by the Czech affiliate after IJSBA removed it. Part 8 is headed Open Class with Superstock as an addendum; the Stock part carries the Lites and class naming addenda; part 4 prints the 500 unit figure without a Ski exception and the 100 unit route below it; the appendix adds Special Production homologation below 100 units.
- 2011 rule book (web.archive.org): IJSBA 2011 Official Competition Rule Book, International Jet Sports Boating Association, 2011; sanctioning body, high. The complete 2011 book from the Czech affiliate's server. Repeats the 2010 Lites addendum (85 and 220 horsepower) and the class naming addendum, and its competition classes appendix still prints 500 (200 for Ski Division) while its part 4 prints 500 flat.
- 2012 rule book (web.archive.org): IJSBA 2012 Official Competition Rule Book, International Jet Sports Boating Association, 2012; sanctioning body, high. The complete 2012 book. Its Lites addendum redefines Runabout Lites as four-stroke naturally aspirated Stock runabouts under 2000cc, and its Ski sponson rule is dated to itself, as of 2012, for the four-sponson allowance on Lites-eligible Ski.
- 2014 rule book (web.archive.org): IJSBA 2014 Official Competition Rule Book, International Jet Sports Boating Association, 2014; sanctioning body, high. The complete 2014 book. Runabout Lites is renamed Runabout Rec Lites in the addendum, and the class list adds Vintage Ski (JS type hulls only, 550cc maximum), Sport GP and Runabout 1000 Superstock.
- UIM yearbook 2019 (uim.sport): UIM Yearbook 2019, published May 2019 (PDF text read from www.uim.sport, excerpt of the officers' lists), Union Internationale Motonautique, 2019-05; sanctioning body, high. The governing body's yearbook, whose publication line reads May 2019. The excerpt keeps its organigram, council, technical commission, Aquabike Committee (whose head it prints as President in the committee list and as Aquabike Chairman in the council list), medical and safety commission, International Board of Consultants, and the Estonian and Hungarian Jet Sports Federation entries in its list of national authorities with their officers. High for whom the UIM lists in each post. The excerpt also holds entries added for other records (the Serbia entry in the list of national authorities).
- UIM yearbook 2025-26 (uim.sport): UIM Yearbook 2025-26, published June 2026 (PDF text read from www.uim.sport, excerpt of the officers' lists), Union Internationale Motonautique, 2026-06; sanctioning body, high. The governing body's yearbook, printed "UIM Yearbook 2025-26" and dated June 2026 in its publication line; the file is named Yearbook 2026. The excerpt keeps its organigram and council, technical and medical and safety commissions, Aquabike Committee, and the Estonian and Hungarian Jet Sports Federation entries with their officers. The Estonian entry prints no secretary general. (as UIM yearbook 2019 above)
Changes to this page
- 2026-10-09: The third gap said no held federation list named his posts after 2006. The UIM's yearbooks of May 2019 and June 2026, now held, list the Hungarian Jet Sports Federation's officers with him as a vice president and then as president, so the gap was scoped to the federation's own books, the two listings were added as claims, and the 2026 post links the 2021 to 2026 era.
