The eras this page's records fall in are drawn solid; the others are hollow.
How we know: Each bar runs the years printed on that era's panel, and which eras a page falls in is the archive's grouping of its records, not the length of anyone's career.
Titles on the record (1)
Each read off a results document the archive holds: a result sheet, or, for a season's title, the body's own champions grid or season table, with the name as that document prints it.

Results
2004 · Confirmed
At the 2004 World Finals he won both motos and the final of Pro-Am Runabout Modified. The sheet prints no machine.
In Pro Runabout 1200 Superstock at the same event he was second, second and fourth in the three motos. The class name is printed on the moto sheet and not on the points sheet, whose points match the moto placings. His second place overall, on 149 points, is read from the order of the points sums; the sheet prints no placing. Kawasaki is in his sponsor column.

2008 and 2013 · Likely
The 2008 World Finals results list a Dustin Farthing 14th in Pro Runabout Open, and the association's 2013 class list, which records entries and not results, has a Dustin Farthing entered in Pro Runabout Open and GP Runabout Open. The archive ties both rows to the 2004 racer by his full name and the Pro Runabout classes alone, which is an inference.

Business
2024 · Likely
The Watercraft Journal reported in December 2024 that, on his announcement, Farthing Racing would again be the official Yamaha WaveRunners factory race team for 2025, entering P1 AquaX, IJSBA and Aquabike events. The report prints the team's own release.

2025 · Confirmed
An association release of 12 September 2025 named Farthing Racing the official media partner for Yamaha WaveRunners and the 2025 SBT World Finals and quoted him as the team's owner. The release's closing note on the team says he founded it.

Organising the sport
2025 · Likely
IHRA's announcement of its Pro Watercraft Racing Series, printed in December 2025 by The Watercraft Journal and by SPEED SPORT, named him the series' managing director. The series was to start in 2026 with stand-up and runabout classes. The two outlets print the one IHRA release, so they count as one source.

2026 · Likely
The Watercraft Journal reported in May 2026 that IHRA had named him its president, overseeing divisions beyond watercraft racing. The archive does not hold IHRA's own announcement (searched the archive's mirror and research cache, 2026-10-05).

Recognition
The association's hall of fame lists Dustin Farthing among its 2006 inductees. The roster gives names only, so linking it to the racer on these sheets rests on the name.

What the archive has not read (4)
- The association's champions page also lists him for Pro Runabout 785 and Pro-Am Sport in 2001 and for Pro Runabout 1200 in 2003 and 2010. The archive holds no result sheet for those classes and years (checked 2026-10-05 against the sheets held for 1999, 2004, 2008, 2015, 2017, 2018 and 2019 and the 2013 entry list), so none is a title here.
- A 2009 team endurance sheet lists him ninth in Pro Am 4 Stroke, riding alone on a Kawasaki, but the sheet names no event, so it is not used (checked 2026-10-05).
- The archive holds no result sheet from the IHRA series (searched the archive's mirror and research cache, 2026-10-05).
- The 2004 and 2008 sheets print no event or year in their text; both come from the addresses the association published them at (checked 2026-10-05).

Heats, last-chance qualifiers and motos by pro class. The hometown column drifts against the names throughout, so it is never read as a rider's own. (as 2004 World Finals Expert closed course above)
- 2004 World Finals Pro Runabout overall (web.archive.org): 2004 World Finals, Pro Runabout overall points (PDF, Wayback capture), International Jet Sports Boating Association, 2004; sanctioning body, high. Pro Runabout overall points by boat, with three motos and the sum. The sheet prints no position column and its cells drift out of line partway down the list, so an overall position read from it is an inference.
- 2008 World Finals results (web.archive.org): IJSBA World Finals 2008, complete results (PDF, Wayback capture), International Jet Sports Boating Association, 2008; sanctioning body, high. Every class of the 2008 World Finals with placings and moto results, as text extracted from the association's own PDF. The sheet prints no event title or year; both come from its address on the association's site.
- 2013 World Finals class list (web.archive.org): 2013 Hot Products World Finals, class list (PDF, Wayback capture), International Jet Sports Boating Association, 2013; sanctioning body, high. The association's own announcement of a media partnership for the 2025 World Finals, quoting the team's owner. High for what the association announced and whom it named; its closing note on Farthing Racing reads as the team's own text, so what it says of the team's founding is the team's account.
