The eras this page's records fall in are drawn solid; the others are hollow.
How we know: Each bar runs the years printed on that era's panel, and which eras a page falls in is the archive's grouping of its records, not the length of anyone's career.
Organising the sport
2000 · Confirmed
The IJSBA's section for its 2000 European Championship, as captured on 30 October 2000, gives Yves Van Heers as the championship's contact and, under the heading 2000 IJSBA Euro Tour, says that Yves Van Heers, European Race Director and Coordinator, announces the final schedule, site information and other information about the 2000 IJSBA European Championship in closed course.

2002 and 2004 · Likely
The association's 2002 rule book lists Yves Van Heers as the contact (Attn) for the Belgian Jet Sports Boating Association (BJSBA) in its directory of affiliates, and its affiliates directory page captured on 11 April 2004 lists him, under Belgium, as the contact for both the EJSBA (European Jet Sports Boating Association) and the BJSBA. Neither prints a post beside his name. The 2000 page prints no country; the archive reads its European Race Director as the Belgian contact and director of these documents on the full name and the European association, which this directory lists with him under Belgium, and that reading is its inference.
2004 · Likely
In an IJSBA post shown with the date 26 January 2004, announcing a new managing director, Yves Van Heers is quoted as spokesperson for the IJSBA Transitional Committee. The association's post dated 23 January 2004 says a Transition Committee of representatives from 10 nations, Belgium among them, had been approved on 20 January 2004 and empowered to assume the responsibilities of the Board; it names no member (the posts call the body the Transitional, Transition and Transition Coordinating Committee). The first post prints no year of its own, so his 2004 rests on the date the page displays.

2005 · Confirmed
The IJSBA's post of 29 April 2005 lists Yves Van Heers among the directors elected to serve on its Board of Directors for 2005, representing International Affiliates, for Belgium, and in the same post thanks him, from Belgium, among the ten members who had served on the transition committee until then.

2006 · Confirmed
The association's corporate page, as captured on 11 February 2006, lists Yves Van Heers on its Board of Directors for International Affiliates, Belgium.

What the archive has not read (2)
- No held document names him in a post of the European series after the 2000 Euro Tour (searched the archive's mirror and research cache for Van Heers, 2026-10-09). The association's post of 28 December 2014 on the 2015 European championship, seen in a copy saved during research, is signed by the Euro Jetski Team and names no officer. Later rule books, the 2005 and 2006 editions in the Hungarian affiliate's translation and the 2006 to 2009 editions seen in copies saved during research, still print him as the BJSBA contact and are not cited.
- The association's hall of fame roster lists the name Yves Van Heers among its 2007 inductees, and its announcement of the 2007 ceremony, as reposted by jetskiworld.gr, counts that name among fifteen competitor inductees. Neither gives a country or a post, so the archive does not tie the honour to the organiser of this record, and no racing result of his is used here (read 2026-10-09).

- IJSBA Euro Tour page 2000 (web.archive.org): 2000 IJSBA European Jet Sports Championship section (ijsba.com page, Wayback capture of 30 October 2000), International Jet Sports Boating Association, 2000-10-30; sanctioning body, high. The association's own section for its 2000 European Championship in closed course (the 2000 IJSBA Euro Tour), giving Yves Van Heers as the contact and naming him European Race Director and Coordinator in the entry announcing the final schedule. High for the post the association names. The contact telephone and email are removed from the held copy; the results headlines are not copied.
- 2002 rule book (web.archive.org): IJSBA 2002 Official Competition Rule Book, International Jet Sports Boating Association, 2002; sanctioning body, high. The complete 2002 book in 25 sections, the oldest full IJSBA rule book held here, served from a Norwegian club's document server and captured by the Wayback Machine. Four numbered technical parts (Stock, Limited, Superstock, Modified), three divisions, the 500 and 200 unit homologation figures, and the United States class list.
- IJSBA affiliates directory 2004 (web.archive.org): IJSBA International Affiliates (ijsba.com directory page, Wayback capture of 11 April 2004), International Jet Sports Boating Association, 2004-04-11; sanctioning body, high. The association's directory of its international affiliates as captured on 11 April 2004. The held excerpt keeps the Belgium entries (EJSBA, European Jet Sports Boating Association, and BJSBA, both "Attn: Yves Van Heers"), the New Zealand entry (NZJSBA, "Attn: Linda Mellor"), and the Portugal (FPJS, "Attn: Francisco Pita, Pres.") and Serbia and Montenegro (JSSSCG, "Attn: Veljko Sukalo, Pres.") entries. High for the listing. Most Attn lines name a contact and print no post; the Portugal and Serbia and Montenegro lines print one. Addresses, telephone, fax, web and email lines are removed.
- IJSBA post Tangeland MD 2004 (web.archive.org): Biorn Tangeland Appointed Managing Director of IJSBA (IJSBA news post dated 26 January 2004, Wayback capture of 20 September 2020), International Jet Sports Boating Association, 2004-01-26; sanctioning body, high. The association's own announcement of its managing director's appointment, effective immediately and following the re-organisation, with a quote from the spokesperson for the IJSBA Transitional Committee and a paragraph saying the new managing director had developed and directed the International Affiliate program since it was created in 1995. High for the post. The text prints no year of its own: 2004 is the date the byline displays, and the paragraph's "since 1995" and "In nine years" agree with it. His own quote and list of aims are not used.
- IJSBA post board restructure 2004 (web.archive.org): IJSBA Board Restructure (IJSBA news post with the dateline January 23, 2004, Wayback capture of 20 September 2020), International Jet Sports Boating Association, 2004-01-23; sanctioning body, high. The association's own release on its re-organisation. It says the association had been run by a board of manufacturer members only, that an IJSBA Transition Committee was approved on 20 January 2004 and assumed the board's responsibilities, that the committee's members were representatives of 10 nations (it lists the nations, not the people), and which member groups would make up the future board. It also says the association was evaluating applications to take on the responsibility of United States affiliate, including a proposal from Patrick Mell on behalf of the American Power Boat Association. High for what the association says about its own structure. It names no committee member; the members are named in the post of 29 April 2005 (ijsba-new-board-2005). The held excerpt leaves out the paragraphs on memberships, the World Finals, the rule book and the website.
- IJSBA post new board 2005 (web.archive.org): New IJSBA Board of Directors Announced (IJSBA news post dated 29 April 2005, Wayback capture of 19 September 2020), International Jet Sports Boating Association, 2005-04-29; sanctioning body, high. The association's own list of the directors elected to serve on its board for 2005, each with the member group represented and a country, and its thanks by name and country to the ten members who had served on the transition committee. It quotes the managing director. High for whom the association names in each post. The year 2005 is printed in the text.
- IJSBA corporate page 2006 (web.archive.org): IJSBA Corporate Information (ijsba.com page, Wayback capture of 11 February 2006), International Jet Sports Boating Association, 2006-02-11; sanctioning body, high. The association's own corporate page as captured on 11 February 2006 (it prints that date and a 2005 copyright line): the Board of Directors with each director's member group and office, and the Technical/Rules, Racer, Affiliate, Manufacturer and Associate/Aftermarket committees. High for who held each post when the page was captured; it does not say when a term began or ended. The headquarters address and contact lines are removed from the held copy.
