VX

The Yamaha VX appears in sixteen model years over three separate runs, 2007 to 2017, 2022 to 2023 and 2025 to now. Every VX year on record is a fuel-injected four-stroke, with engines recorded as 1052 and 1049.

Checked
Three of sixteen VX model years verified, which needs a check against the maker's own document, which the row names, and an engine figure; all sixteen name a source below.

Some Yamaha numbers are measured sizes rather than the number in the model name: a GP760 is held as 753, a GP1200R as 1131, a GP1300R as 1296. None of these figures has been checked against a Yamaha document unless a cited source states it.

2016 verified 1049 (changed from 2015) Fuel injection Four-stroke Sit-down The VX moves to the three cylinder TR-1 engine. The join here is by engine name rather than by year: Yamaha's 2016 entry names the engine and Yamaha's VX specification page says what that engine is. That page carries no model year. Confirmed 2026-10-02 by the Yamaha Motor USA model page cited, which prints 1049cc and sits under the site's 2016 category heading, so the year join no longer rests on the engine name alone. Source 3
