The eras this page's records fall in are drawn solid; the others are hollow.

How we know: Each bar runs the years printed on that era's panel, and which eras a page falls in is the archive's grouping of its records, not the length of anyone's career.

Organising the sport

2000 · Confirmed

The IJSBA's pages for its 2000 U.S. National Endurance Championship, held 8 to 10 September 2000 at Cedar Point, Sandusky, Ohio, say that Hammertime Promotions and PM Sports Marketing presented the event and give him and Patrick Mell as its contacts. The pages link the champions' story and the results.

Confirmed

The IJSBA's lists of promoters print his name with Hammertime Promotions: under the company in its sanctioned promoters directory as captured in March 2002, and as the company's contact on its United States promoters pages captured in October 2008 and July 2013, in its rule books of 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2014 and in its 2015 draft rule book. None prints a post beside the name.

2005 · Likely

The American Power Boat Association's announcement of 23 July 2005, carried on the IJSBA's site, of an agreement with the USWRA to create one sanctioning body in the United States, quotes the APBA's coordinator, Patrick Mell, saying that Jacque Bryant, the head of the USWRA, would work with the APBA to make the transition easy for the promoters and racers. The words head of the USWRA are the quoted officer's, not the announcement's own.

2006 · Confirmed

The IJSBA's list of key staff for its 2006 World Finals, posted on 11 September 2006, names him as one of two Race Directors.

Likely

The IJSBA's hall of fame biography of him, posted on 29 August 2016, says that his race director position started in 1991, when he created Hammertime Promotions, Inc., an event company that produced IJSBA Nationals, World Finals qualifiers and regional races, and that he was a contracted Race Director for the IJSBA from 1996 to 2014. These are the association's words, written for an honour; the earliest held document naming him as a race director is the staff list of 2006 (searched the archive's mirror and the set 5 research cache, 2026-10-09).

Recognition

Confirmed

The IJSBA's post of 12 August 2016 lists him, printed as Jacques Bryant, among the five people to be inducted into its hall of fame in 2016, with the ceremony set for 8 October 2016 at Lake Havasu City, and its biography of him posted on 29 August 2016 names him a 2016 inductee.

What the archive has not read (1)

  • The hall biography says he raced in the Pro-Ski class from 1990 to 1995. No held result sheet of those years names him, so the record lists no racing (searched the archive's mirror and the set 5 research cache, 2026-10-09). A rider printed as Bryant, Jacque is on the 2004 World Finals Pro-Am Ski Stock sheet; nothing on the sheet ties that rider to the race director beyond the name, so it is not used.

The association's own list of the key staff posts for its 2006 World Finals, each post printed above the people named in it: a competition manager, race directors, technical directors, scoring, registration, safety, Coast Guard compliance, production operations and an event executive director. High for whom the association names in each post. The page prints "Lead Racer Director" and "Jim Russel" as given. The text prints 2006 in its heading.
  • IJSBA Endurance Nationals 2000 (web.archive.org): 2000 IJSBA Endurance National Championship section (ijsba.com page, Wayback capture of 30 October 2000), International Jet Sports Boating Association, 2000; sanctioning body, high. The association's page for its 2000 U.S. National Endurance Championship, 8 to 10 September 2000 at Cedar Point, Sandusky, Ohio. It says Hammertime Promotions and PM Sports Marketing present the event, gives two people as contacts, and links the champions' story and the results, so the event is shown run. High for what the association printed. Telephone numbers and an email address are replaced in the held copy.
  • IJSBA sanctioned promoters 2002 (web.archive.org): IJSBA directory of Sanctioned Promoters (ijsba.com page, Wayback capture of 11 March 2002), International Jet Sports Boating Association, 2002; sanctioning body, high. The association's directory of the promoters it sanctioned, each entry a company with a person's name under it, an address and a region. No post is printed beside any name, so it is high for the listing and does not by itself name anyone to an organising post. The held excerpt keeps three entries and drops every address, telephone number and email.
  • IJSBA US promoters page 2008 (web.archive.org): US Promoters (ijsba.com page, Wayback capture of 12 October 2008), International Jet Sports Boating Association, 2008-10-11; sanctioning body, high. The association's directory of United States promoters, each a company with its region and a "Contact:" name. High for the listing; it prints no post. The page shows the day's date, 11 October 2008, the day it was captured; the listing itself is undated. The held excerpt keeps four entries and drops addresses, telephone numbers and email.
  • IJSBA US promoters page 2013 (web.archive.org): United States Promoters (ijsba.com page, Wayback capture of 12 July 2013), International Jet Sports Boating Association, 2013-07-12; sanctioning body, high. The association's directory of United States promoters as captured in July 2013. Most entries print a contact name only; the RPM RACING ENT. entry prints "Ross Wallach, President". High for the listing. The held excerpt keeps three entries and drops addresses, telephone numbers and email. The page prints no date; 2013 is the capture's.
  • 2010 rule book (web.archive.org): IJSBA 2010 Official Competition Rule Book, International Jet Sports Boating Association, 2010; sanctioning body, high. The complete 2010 book, kept by the Czech affiliate after IJSBA removed it. Part 8 is headed Open Class with Superstock as an addendum; the Stock part carries the Lites and class naming addenda; part 4 prints the 500 unit figure without a Ski exception and the 100 unit route below it; the appendix adds Special Production homologation below 100 units.
  • 2011 rule book (web.archive.org): IJSBA 2011 Official Competition Rule Book, International Jet Sports Boating Association, 2011; sanctioning body, high. The complete 2011 book from the Czech affiliate's server. Repeats the 2010 Lites addendum (85 and 220 horsepower) and the class naming addendum, and its competition classes appendix still prints 500 (200 for Ski Division) while its part 4 prints 500 flat.
  • 2012 rule book (web.archive.org): IJSBA 2012 Official Competition Rule Book, International Jet Sports Boating Association, 2012; sanctioning body, high. The complete 2012 book. Its Lites addendum redefines Runabout Lites as four-stroke naturally aspirated Stock runabouts under 2000cc, and its Ski sponson rule is dated to itself, as of 2012, for the four-sponson allowance on Lites-eligible Ski.
  • 2014 rule book (web.archive.org): IJSBA 2014 Official Competition Rule Book, International Jet Sports Boating Association, 2014; sanctioning body, high. The complete 2014 book. Runabout Lites is renamed Runabout Rec Lites in the addendum, and the class list adds Vintage Ski (JS type hulls only, 550cc maximum), Sport GP and Runabout 1000 Superstock.
  • 2015 draft rule book (web.archive.org): IJSBA 2015 Official Competition Rule Book (draft), International Jet Sports Boating Association, 2015; sanctioning body, high. A draft, as its file name says, so cited only where it repeats earlier books. Its class list is the 2014 list unchanged, Vintage Ski included.
  • APBA and USWRA post 2005 (web.archive.org): USWRA Joins Forces with APBA (the American Power Boat Association's announcement as posted on ijsba.com, dated 23 July 2005, Wayback capture of 18 September 2020), International Jet Sports Boating Association (carrying the American Power Boat Association's announcement), 2005-07-23; sanctioning body, high. The APBA's announcement of its agreement with the USWRA, carried on the IJSBA's site. It quotes Patrick Mell as the APBA Personal Watercraft Racing Marketing & Event Coordinator; the sentence naming Jacque Bryant as the head of the USWRA sits inside that quotation, so it is the APBA officer's words. High for the APBA's own post and agreement. An earlier summary of the same capture was not used. Telephone and email are replaced in the held copy.
  • IJSBA hall spotlight Bryant 2016 (web.archive.org): IJSBA Spotlights 2016 Hall Of Fame Inductee Jacque Bryant (IJSBA news post dated 29 August 2016, Wayback capture of 22 September 2020), International Jet Sports Boating Association, 2016-08-29; sanctioning body, medium. The association's biography of a 2016 hall of fame inductee, ahead of the ceremony of 8 October 2016. High for the induction; medium for the career it recounts, which is a biography written for an honour and dates nothing for the year-by-year view (Hammertime Promotions from 1991, contracted IJSBA race director 1996 to 2014). Its closing paragraph, on matters outside his public role, is not copied, and its tributes are not used.
  • IJSBA post hall of fame inductees 2016 (web.archive.org): 2016 IJSBA Hall Of Fame Inductees Announced (IJSBA news post dated August 12th, 2016, Wayback capture of 22 September 2020), International Jet Sports Boating Association, 2016-08-12; sanctioning body, high. The association's announcement of the five people to be inducted into its hall of fame in 2016, as printed (one as Valjeko "Suki" Sukalo, line 17), after write-in campaigns from the public, with the ceremony set for 8 October 2016. High for the announcement. The hall's own roster page, as the archive holds it (ijsba-hall-of-fame-page), lists inductees only to 2014.
