The eras this page's records fall in are drawn solid; the others are hollow.

How we know: Each bar runs the years printed on that era's panel, and which eras a page falls in is the archive's grouping of its records, not the length of anyone's career.

Titles on the record (2)

Each read off a results document the archive holds: a result sheet, or, for a season's title, the body's own champions grid or season table, with the name as that document prints it.

Business

2007 · Likely

A 2022 newspaper article on his career says he made his freestyle machines as a manufacturer under the name Eric Malone Enterprises, and a page on his own website from 2007 offered EME freestyle craft with 800 and 1000 cc engines.

Recognition

Likely

The association's hall of fame lists Eric Malone among its 2006 inductees. The roster gives names only, so linking it to the rider on these sheets rests on the name.

What the archive has not read (4)

  • The association's champions page also lists him for Pro Freestyle in 1997, 2000, 2002, 2005 and 2006. The archive holds no result sheet for those years (checked 2026-10-05 against the sheets held for 1999, 2004, 2008, 2015, 2017, 2018 and 2019 and the 2013 entry list), so none is a title here.
  • No held sheet prints the make he rode at the 1999 or 2004 World Finals; the makes the champions page gives are not confirmed (checked 2026-10-05).
  • No held text dates the start of Eric Malone Enterprises or records who owned it (searched the archive's mirror and research cache, 2026-10-05).
  • The 2004 sheets print no event or year in their text; the event and year come from the addresses the association published them at (checked 2026-10-05).

  • 1999 World Finals results (web.archive.org): 1999 Skat-Trak World Finals, overall results by class (PDF, Wayback capture), International Jet Sports Boating Association, 1999; sanctioning body, high. Overall results by class for the World Finals of 10 to 17 October 1999, extracted from the association's PDF. The extract lets the hometown and maker columns drift against the names in places, so only a name and the position printed on the same line are read as one row.
  • 2004 World Finals pro motos (web.archive.org): 2004 World Finals, pro classes heats and motos, sheet pros02 (PDF, Wayback capture), International Jet Sports Boating Association, 2004; sanctioning body, high. Heats, last-chance qualifiers and motos by pro class. The hometown column drifts against the names throughout, so it is never read as a rider's own. Event and year come from the file's address.
  • 2004 World Finals pro sheet 1 (web.archive.org): 2004 World Finals, pro classes results, sheet pro01 (PDF, Wayback capture), International Jet Sports Boating Association, 2004; sanctioning body, high. • Altoona Mirror 28 March 2022 (altoonamirror.com): Altoona Mirror sports article on Eric Malone's jet ski career and Eric Malone Enterprises (28 March 2022), Altoona Mirror, 2022-03-28; editorial, medium. A local newspaper's later account of his career, written for a regional hall of fame induction, held as an extract of the career and company lines. Medium as an independent newspaper writing in hindsight; its title counts are reported totals and its "credited with" line rests on it alone, so neither is used. The headline is not repeated in this title because it names a home town.
  • EME spec page 2007 (web.archive.org): EME 800 and 1000 CC spec page (ericmalone.com, Wayback capture, February 2007), Eric Malone Enterprises (ericmalone.com); manufacturer primary, low. The company's own promotional page for its freestyle craft as captured in February 2007. Low: company voice. Used only, beside an independent source, for what the company offered then; its claims about itself are not repeated.
  • IJSBA hall of fame page (ijsba.com): The Jacobsen-Stjernstrom IJSBA Hall of Fame (IJSBA page), International Jet Sports Boating Association; sanctioning body, high. The association's own roster, read on 22 September 2026, giving the hall's name, its creation and dedication in 2006, and inductees by year to 2014, names only. It publishes no selection criteria and no citation for anyone.
