IHRA2026, K. A closed-list class. The craft must stay stock except where the rules allow otherwise, so anything unlisted is not permitted.

Places where the rulebook contradicts itself, or where a figure could not be settled. Nothing in this list is decided, and it sits here rather than in a footnote because it is what you would want before spending money.

  • The rulebook refers to hulls "approved by the Race Committee and IHRA" at K.8.1 and never publishes that list. No claim that a named aftermarket hull is eligible here can be sourced to this document.
  • K.6.1 prints "Electronic Contril Unit". A transcription defect in the source, not a different part.

Confirmed absent by a targeted read rather than merely unnoticed. In a closed-list class an absent article is why a part reads as not permitted; in an open class it is why one reads as open.

  • No sound limit. K.1 states hull length, width, displacement and eligible craft and stops. Fifteen of the nineteen non-drag class sections print 86 dB(a) at 75 feet and this is one of the four that does not.
  • No minimum weight.
  • No boost pressure ceiling, where the comparable Sport GP class states two.
